Insurance, Visa, Ohana: 50 Days!

How I mean how did we get to the final 50 days and I'm still in denial.

Okay so here's a run down of everything I've done the last 50 days.

I don't think I've mentioned this yet but I got myself a Monzo card and a Revolut card. These are cards you can use all over the world fee free so you won't get charged for using them abroad. They have their own apps so you can track your spending and you can convert your balance into different currencies. So far the main difference between the two is that with Monzo it's free for the card and to open an account, with Revolut you have to open the account with a minimum of £10 and then you have to use £4.99 of that to get the card delivered.

I also got a Credit card in case of emergencies but I can't see myself using it.

I have finally got my medical insurance so I went with Outbacker Insurance for the first 4 months before I get automatically put on Disney's insurance. I will be doing a post on the cost of the CRP before I leave so I will go into insurance and all that then!

Our plans have changed a bit so one of the girls who was originally going to be sharing the hotel room with us is no longer coming so 2 of the girls that will already be out there are going to join us for a stay cay before we check into housing.

We've paid off our Disney hotel so that's another thing sorted and I've given our flight details to Disney so we are both booked onto the Magical Express.

We're also going to Ohana for breakfast at the Polynesian Resort the day before check in and I am so excited just to be reunited with my girls and eat all the waffles and just be surrounded by magic!

Now on to the Visa fiasco...

So on Sunday 18th of August exactly 60 days till I fly, I got an email from Disney to say I could download my I-797 from my Disney dashboard. This will disappear after 14 days so I recommend you to download it and print multiple copies.

Once you have your I-797 you can submit your Q1 Visa Application. Now what I didn't know was you could fill this out ahead of time and save it, and then submit it once you have your I-797. So everyone else had theirs all done but I was stressing like mad trying to fill this form out which took forever as the website kept crashing, and so many things kept going wrong. However once that was submitted I could book my embassy appointment so originally the only date available was October 3rd however I managed to reschedule for September 19th so that is officially sorted!

I then got scared that I had put down some wrong information so I managed to contact the embassy using their contact form and they got back to me the next day to say that I just had to let them know of any changes during my appointment.

I managed to book a hotel right by the Embassy so that has saved a lot stress! I've booked my return flight to London, I am only staying for 1 night but I basically get 2 full days down there. I also booked my Gatwick Express train to get to and from the city.

I got my onboarding email from Disney which is signing off on a lot of documents and completing your I-9 form so that's another thing checked off the list!

Apart from heading to London and doing things down there I have no more big expenses coming out and I've paid all the Disney fees that I know of so at least these next 2 paychecks can go towards spending money which is good as I've basically just spent all my money buying things to take out already. My suitcases are already over the weight limit which is stressing me out like crazy so I need to cut down on somethings but I'll write about my packing list closer to the time.

Here's to the last 50 days!
