Tip #1: Don't feel pressured!
The main attraction at Blizzard Beach is Summit Plummit which is one of the fastest water slides in the world reaching speeds of 55 mph. I've been on Summit Plummit once when I was 12 years old and I've never done it since. I didn't find it enjoyable, you basically choke on water and the water pressure really hurts, so even though it's the main attraction, don't feel like you have to go on it.
Tip #2: Take a break on Cross Country Creek!
The lazy river, Cross Country Creek is great when you need a break during the heat so don't bother going on it first thing in the morning as it will be rather boring and chilly.
Tip #3: Team up for Teamboat Springs!
The family raft ride at Blizzard Beach is the one upside that the park has over Typhoon Lagoon. You can fit up to 5 people in a raft and is an amazing experience.
Tip #4: Purchase a refillable cup!
One of the perks of the water parks is you can purchase a refillable cup for $9 and get free refils throughout the day. This comes in handy if you have a large family.
Tip #5: Bring a food basket!
The water parks allow you to bring in your own food so long as there are no glass containers or alcoholic beverages but it'll save you some cash bringing in sandwiches and snacks.
