Day Before
My flight from Inverness to London Gatwick was at 6:40am on Sunday 4th of November so I left for the airport at 5am and as a friend of mine was on the same flight I travelled with her. I took the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station however my plan was to do some shopping until I met up with the rest of the girls however the shops in England don't open till 11:30am on a Sunday! So I got some breakfast and went to Starbucks and met 2 of the girls at Euston and headed to Hammersmith. One of the girls left to go to her hotel but we met one of the other girls in the shopping centre. We originally ended up at the wrong Disney entrance by what used to be The Yardbird. We left the shopping centre by The Body Shop and found the correct entrance to Disney HQ in preparation for our interview the following day. We checked in to our Hotel which was the Novotel across the road from Disney HQ, highly recommend this hotel if you have an interview it's super convenient! We freshened up and met a couple of the other girls and headed to Covent Garden to have dinner at TGI Fridays. After that we walked around London, we headed to Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and even went to a Christmas Market on South Bank. We then got the tube back to Hammersmith and had a pamper night.
Outfit
I bought a black suit from ASOS by UNIQUE21 (I'll post links down below if anyone is interested) and I wore this with the same shoes from my pre-screen interview as well as a blue shirt from Primark. I wore it with a grey handbag from River Island and as with the pre-screen I didn't wear any jewelry.
Arrival
We arrived at Disney HQ bang on 9am and checked in at the front desk where we got our ID passes. We had to get our bags checked and after that we just waited for Yummy Jobs to collect us from the reception. We were shown upstairs which was filled with Star Wars stuff I was super excited! We had to show our Passports for them to check us in and then we were shown to the cinema room. There was roughly 50 of us at the final interview however there is a second day of final interviews on the 16th of November which they said there would be less people at.
Presentation
They started with some trivia where you could win a Disney International Programs item (I wasn't as lucky this time) and then we watched a presentation about the CRP which lasted for an hour till 10:30am. We were told that the dates to go out were between April till November 2019 and we would find out at the latest December 15th. We also found out there was over 1000 applicants this time around. The presentation was very similar to that of the Yummy Jobs one but it went into more depth about the shift patterns, training, pay, accommodation etc. Once the presentation was over we handed our passes back in and waited in Wetherspoons till our interview times.
Interview
We were told to arrive 15 minutes before our interview time, mine was at 2pm so we arrived at 1:45pm. We collected our IDs and waited to be collected by Yummy Jobs. Once Natalie from YJ got us we went upstairs again and handed over our passports, drivers license and photocopies. Marcie then came through and I was the first out of our group to have my interview. The 2 people doing interviews were Marcie and Sue, the interviews were one on one but were conducted in the same room. So it was basically just a chat, it turned out to be shorter than the individual interview with Yummy Jobs at Pre-Screens, I was in and out within 10 minutes. So here's the questions I remember being asked:
Why do you want to do the program?
What would you prefer a Merchandise or food and beverage role?
What skills have you learnt in food and beverage so far?
What previous visa did you have?
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Are you okay with drug testing?
Have you ever lived with roommates before?
What item did you bring to pre screens?
What is your availability?
What has been the biggest challenge working in food and beverage?
Would you consider a role in merchandise if available?
Are you okay with handling cash?
She also took interest in how I got to London because I came from the Highlands and was asking about how long the journey took and how long I was staying for. She then asked if I had any questions and that was it! It's officially over, we have a while to wait before we find out our results, they are in the UK for 2 weeks doing interviews for CRP, CEP and AEP so they won't be back in the States till the 19th of November. I thought the wait after applications closed was bad enough but it's only been 2 days and I am just never not thinking about it. I keep bringing it up in every conversation but there's nothing more that can be done so it's just the waiting game now!
We received this email the day after our interview just thanking us for interviewing so I'm not gonna lie my heart skipped a beat when I saw this in my inbox!
It might be a few weeks till you hear from my but I will go into further detail about the final interview once I know my outcome, I don't want to say I think I did good just in case so I will speak to you guys when results come out!
