It's official after 2 and half years and 5 applications I am officially moving to Orlando to work in Disney World as a Cultural Representative!
Oh my god so where to begin, on Wednesday 28th of November, 24 days after our interview and 12 days after the last day of CRP interviews the first email was sent out. One person received theirs at 9pm along with an alumni so literally everyone went into overdrive refreshing their emails but nothing else arrived. So when people say the emails can come at any time and in different batches, they mean it! The person to receive their email first got given the date of April 1st and that was the earliest date available so the guesses were that they were doing them by date.
THEN a whole week goes by of nothing! No emails just one person had their email! and on the 5th of December it happened. The emails actually came in at 2:02 pm (UK time) however I volunteered to stay later at work so my lunch hour finished at 2pm! I was 2 minutes away from finding out my results! So I didn't read my email until I got home at 5:30 pm that I had been offered a place on the program!
The first email I received said CONGRATULATIONS in the subject line and had a link to view my offer letter which is where you find out your date.
So my program officially starts on October 21st and I will be working in food & beverage. After the letter, at the bottom on the page is an option to accept or decline the offer so I obviously accepted! You'll then receive an email from Disney to pay your program fees which will direct you to the DORMS website ( Disney Onsite Resident Management System) where you have to select "new to DORMS" so you can get sent a temporary password. Once you have made a new password you can pay your fees which is $375 which works out roughly £296. Here's a breakdown of what the fee entails:
The latest email I've got after confirmation of paying my fees was one welcoming me to the team and I am so emotional! If you have been with me since the start of this process you know how much I have wanted this and I can't believe I am finally living my dream!
