STAGE 1: APPLICATION FORM

So if you are anything like me you have read every blog and watched every Youtube video you could on the Cultural Representative Program. Finally the application day arrives and as of 2016 here is what the application form looks like!

The CRP is where you work at a pavilion representation of your country at Epcot for example the UK and there are two choices of roles, Food and Beverage or Merchandise. Food and Beverage involves being a waitress at the Rose & Crown restaurant and merchandise involves working in a gift store that sells UK memorabilia. There are normally more positions in food & beverage but I recommend putting your name down for both as you will have a better chance.

Here it will give you all the information you need to know like Program Info, Application Dates, Eligibility, Housing and Program Fees. The Application dates are released closer to the day they open so if there are no dates you still have some time to wait.

If they are open, scroll down to the bottom and hit Apply Now! If you already have a Yummy Jobs account just click sign in, if not you will be asked to fill out some information.

STEP 1

The first page of questions are simple:

  • Are you over the age of 18?

  • Can you speak fluent English?

  • Do you hold a passport for the country in which you will represent?

You need all of these factors to be considered for a role on the program.

STEP 2

The second page is creating a Yummy Account which includes:

Username

Email Address

First Name

Last Name

Password

STEP 3

Step 3 is the application form, it includes:

You will be asked here to upload a profile photo, this doesn't need to be a passport photo, it just has to be a good representation of you with a plain background. I used this photo as it shows me smiling as well as a clear shot of my face.

The second text box is just to be left empty, the Yummy Jobs team can't see it from their end.

Here you upload your CV and Cover letter which I'll go more in depth about in a future post.

What is your motivation for the program?

In previous years there have been multiple questions such as Why do you value cultural exchange and interaction? and a final comments section. This year they got rid of these sections and left "What is your motivation for the program?"

Here I first spoke about how I enjoy meeting people from around the world and interacting with other people. I also talked about my visits to Walt Disney World, how it inspired me to work for the company and to provide the same positive experiences that I had received. I then mentioned how the program would help me achieve future goals as well as how Epcot is a symbol of positivity in the world.

Next week I'll go futher in depth about writing a CV for the Cultural Representative Program.
