We've never been ones to go for the fine-dining options, we always tried to go relatively cheap however some of the restaurants I simply couldn't leave out even though I haven't been fortunate to eat there yet.
#10 Tusker House
Park/Resort: Animal Kingdom
Price Range: $30 - $35
This is the wild card as most of this list consists of fine dining establishments whereas Tusker House is a buffet but a very good buffet at that. It has a mix of African and American cuisine and if you visit at breakfast you can meet certain Disney characters. I have mentioned in a previous post that Animal Kingdom is my favourite park due to the excellent theming so it's no surprise that the filming of Tusker House is spot on.
#9 Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
Park/Resort: Hollywood Studios
Price Range: $15 - $30
Now hear me out, the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater does not do good food, but it is the perfect choice for science fiction geeks or film nerds. I have tried to eat here on a number of occasions but it turns out there is always a long wait to dine in a "car". The big screen at the front end of the room plays a loop of classic sci-fi trailers and clips. If you are willing to look past the awful food and enjoy the ambience, it would be a truly unique dining experience.
#8 Liberty Tree Tavern
Park/Resort: Magic Kingdom
Price Range: $15 - $60
Liberty Tree Tavern may fly under the radar due to it being located in a rather small area of Magic Kingdom but it is not to be missed. Here it is Thanksgiving every night, food is served family-style (meaning there is no choice) and you get to dine like a founding father. The small dining rooms, antiquated decor and period-costumed cast members immerses you into a colonial New England restaurant. The all-you-can-eat family meal consists of roast turkey, carved beef, sliced pork, mashed potatoes and even macaroni cheese.
#7 Ohana
Park/Resort: Polynesian Resort
Price Range: $15 - $60
Ohana has always been on my Disney Bucket List and I've still not got round to dining here. The Hawaiian themed all you can eat buffet is unlike other buffets. The food is actually brought out to you on skewers such as grilled shrimp, chicken, steak, wings and many more. During breakfast you can meet a variety of Disney characters from Mickey to Lilo and Stich, but for dinner the menu and the atmosphere is elevated.
#6 Be Our Guest
Park/Resort: Magic Kingdom
Price Range: $15 - $30
For those who really enjoy fine dining, they would despise seeing Be Our Guest on the list which is hard to believe from the beautiful photos. However it is rather well known through the Disney-verse that the food at Be Our Guest isn't that great, but what gets it onto the list is the outstanding decor. This is a must for anyone who watched the 1991 animated classic as you get to immerse yourself into Beast's castle and watch snow gently fall out the window, have a conversation with the suits of armour and admire the magic rose in the forbidden West Wing. There are three choices to enjoy your meal, in either the West Wing, the library or the grand Ballroom.
#5 Sanaa
Park/Resort: Animal Kingdom Resort
Price Range: $15 - $35
Sanaa makes this list not necessarily for the food which is a bit too adventurous for me, but for the view. Although the menu is unique, consider Sanaa to be the opposite to the Yachtsman Steakhouse with it focused on more indian and african themed dishes. What really makes Sanaa a showstopper is the ambience, there are animals grazing right outside the window and due to it's rather unique menu it is rarely overcrowded. Between the glorious view and the exotic menu it truly makes Sanaa one of a kind among the restaurant choices at Walt Disney World.
#4 Rose & Crown
Park/Resort: Epcot
Price Range: $18 - $33
My opinion may be a tad biased here but even when I'm just away from the UK for a couple of weeks I crave the crispy beer battered fish and the perfectly fried chips or fries. Of course the Rose & Crown is on another level compared to actual british pubs but everything from the wood detailing, the etched glass and the old-time photos is a great representation of home. Adults can even wash down their bangers and mash with a nice cold beer. To top of your night at Epcot, make sure to book yourself a patio table to get an ideal view of the fireworks.
#3 California Grill
Park/Resort: Contemporary Resort
Price Range: $36 - $53
California Grill marks high on the list not for the food which i'm sure is exquisite, but for it's location. You get whisked up to the 15th floor in a private elevator to see a panoramic view of Magic Kingdom and if you are willing to wait make sure to bag yourself a window seat in time for Wishes! The West Coast inspired menu includes a variety of options from Sushi to flatbreads.
#2 Yachtsman Steakhouse
Park/Resort: Yacht Club Resort
Price Range: $45 - $145
This was always going to rank high on my list purely because steak is always my first choice. The prices may be high but for these pristine cuts of meat, all the carnivores out there will not be disappointed. From the minute you walk in the door you can see a butcher in a booth making "magic" happen. This is the perfect choice for those who really enjoy their steakhouse classics.
#1 Victoria & Albert's
Park/Resort: Grand Floridan Resort & Spa
Price Range: fixed price $125
It's no secret that Victoria & Albert's is arguably the best restaurant, since it is the only AAA 5-Diamond restaurant at Walt Disney World. I haven't been fortunate enough to eat here yet but it is definitely on my bucket list. Victoria & Albert's offers a pre-fixed price for a six-course meal consisting of gourmet and speciality fine dining options along with premium items that can be ordered for an additional charge. For an even more unique experience, you can book the Chef's Table although it may be less of a romantic option. It's by far the most exquisite (and most expensive) on Disney property and only uses the best ingredients from around the world like caviar from Russia or beef from Australia. Even though it is a high cost, it is great value and that's why Victoria & Albert's should be on top of everybody's list.
