I thought I would split these parks in half so I have chosen my 5 favourite rides from both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. However I suffer from really bad motion sickness so I haven't included any rides that have a motion simulator, I have been on spider-Man, Transformers and The Simpsons ride however I felt violently ill after everyone so I just couldn't include them on this list, but if you like the big thrills then you're in luck!
#10 Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
Park: Islands of Adventure
Thrill Factor: 7/10
So I know this is a fan favourite but because of motion sickness and the use of 3D is why it is scored low on the list. I put it on the list because you do at least move, it's not like Spiderman where its just a simulator. When the Wizarding World of Harry Potter first opened in 2010 this was the highlight of the new expansion as it has amazing attention to detail. I genuinely prefer waiting in the line because of the level of immersion than actually going on the ride.
#9 Men in Black: Alien Attack
Park: Universal Studios
Thrill Factor: 6/10
This is an interactive shoot-em-up ride that takes guests through a recruitment process for the Men in Black. Similar to that of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin it involves shooting aliens however this one spins you around a hell of a lot so I always feel sick coming off this ride so if you don't like spins this one probably isn't for you.
#8 Jurassic Park: River Adventure
Park: Islands of Adventure
Thrill Factor: 7/10
This river raft ride through a dinosaur-infested jungle is a perfect thrill ride for those who don't mind getting a bit wet. It starts off quiet calm as you see the devastation the T-Rex has caused before you take a huge plunge to avoided getting eaten by the Dinosaur.
#7 Dragon Challenge
Park: Islands of Adventure
Thrill Factor: 9/10
This double track inverted coaster used to be known as dueling Dragons before the area was re-themed around Harry Potter. The disappointing fact about this attraction is both coasters used to leave at the same time as a sort of race but now due to safety restrictions they leave at different times. It's a very intense, roller coaster and while I can come off The Hulk and Rip Ride Rockit without feeling sick, this coaster shakes you around a lot so your head may feel a tad fragile after exiting the ride.
#6 Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls
Park: Islands of Adventure
Thrill Factor: 8/10
Set in the Canadian north Woods, you chase the notorious scoundrel Snidely Whiplash along with the bumbling Royal Canadian Mountie Dudley Do-Right as he has kidnapped Do-Right's girl Nell Fenwick and has trapped her in a saw mill. On the same lines as Splash Mountain it builds up to a massive drop at the end, unlike Splash Mountain though you can't avoid getting wet, you will get SOAKED!
#5 Hogwarts Express
Park: Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure
Thrill Factor: 6/10
You can travel back and forth between the two parks on the Hogwarts Express that fully immerses guests into the world of Harry Potter. Although this isn't much of a thrill ride it is a wonderful experience for people of all ages.
#4 Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
Park: Universal Studios
Thrill Factor: 8:10
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts sends guests on a journey alongside Harry, Ron, and Hermione in one of the most exciting, thrilling scenes from the movies. It's sort of a hybrid between a coaster and a motion simulator, I find it so much better than Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey because it is more of a ride and I don't get motion sick on this. Just like the Forbidden Journey, the theming around the wait line is perfect, from the animatronic bank tellers and the trip into the volt it is unbelievable.
#3 Revenge of the Mummy
Park: Universal Studios
Thrill Factor: 9/10
This thrill ride is a roller coaster in the dark with animatronics and special effects themed around The Mummy movie franchise. Revenge of the Mummy is like the Space Mountain of Universal Studios only it's a tad scarier! You will occasionally stop as the Mummy chases and threatens you and even engulfs the room with flames. I enjoy this ride so much as instead on 3D glasses and screens it's animatronics which work so much better.
#2 The Incredible Hulk
Park: Islands of Adventure
Thrill Factor: 10/10
Definitely a favourite among guests, The Incredible Hulk blasts you through a Gamma Force Accelerator tube to a thrilling roller coaster. This has recently gone through a refurbishment so I have not been on the updated one but I have heard good things!
#1 Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
Park: Universal Studios
Thrill Factor: 10/10
This ride guests either really love or really hate, I personally love this ride it's always the place I run to when I get in the park but some people say it is a bit violent but I disagree. The ride isn't as nearly as painful as it looks however at the beginning of the ride where you go straight up it can be frightening! The coaster starts you off on a 180-degree track that shoots straight up and to make it better you can pick your own soundtrack to listen to on the ride! You can pick out of 30 songs over different genres that gets blasted into your headset.
