Universal City Walk Tips!

Similar to Disney Springs, City Walk is a free entry outdoor shopping and restaurant area that you enter the two Universal theme parks through. The main difference other than the size comparison to Disney Springs is that Disney Springs is free parking, no matter whether you are parking for a day at the parks or just to go for a meal it costs $20 parking at City Walk.

Tip #1: Orange Chicken at Panda Express!

As far as mall-style Chinese food goes, Panda Express is by far one of the best. We had the best orange chicken I had ever had, I would go every week just for this chicken so I HIGHLY recommend it!

Tip #2: More fish, less cow!

The Cowfish is one of the newer restaurants on Citywalk, they serve sushi and burgers. Yes sushi and burgers. It sounds like such a strange combination but those of us in our party that enjoyed sushi absolutely loved it! They said it was some of the best sushi they had ever had. The burgers however we rather mediocre, not to mention they were about 3 times the price as a regular burger. So if you are sushi fans check it out, burger fans maybe just stick to any other burger bar.

Tip #3: Get your Buffett on!

I have never visited another Margaritaville before so I can't compare the Citywalk location to any other, however if they are all as good as this one, they definitely need more recognition! The food was great (better than Bubba Gump in my opinion), the portion sizes are huge, there is indoor or outdoor seating, and the outdoor patio gives a great view of Citywalk. I can't forget to mention their great selection of cocktails either!

Tip #4: 5 minutes of Fame!

If your party is over the age of 21 this is a great place to have a few drinks and take the stage to belt out your favourite song! With a live band and back up dancers you'll feel like a million bucks! (if you're a bit tipsy that is)

Tip #5: Life is like a box of souvenirs!

As far as the shopping is on Citywalk, it's pretty dire. There isn't a great selection, but one place I always make sure to visit is the Bubba Gump gift shop. If you are a fan of the movie you can pick up some great souvenirs from T-shirts to phone cases to ping pong paddles!

Tip #6: Indulge your sweet tooth!

This is by far some of the best ice-cream I have ever had! Not only do they make your customized ice-cream right in front of you but the portions are HUGE! So as a warning every time I have been I haven't been able to finish the small portion so you may have to share with someone!
